6-13 Afternoon Update

Today has been a pretty eventful day. We went from thinking that Olivia was doing fine, to worried that she may have an possible organ problem, to now being confident that she is finally over her Acid problem. She was having problems when she got here with elevated acid levels, they weren't real sure to begin with that the acid problem was truely a problem, but its better to be safe than sorry. They ran all sorts of tests on her blood today for just about everything imaginable, and thankfully to this point they have all come back clean. The latest acid tests they did also came back normal, which was quite a change from what they were showing today.

She's down right now getting a precautionary MRI taken, not because they are concerned that there is a problem, but rather if she was to have any problems over the weekend they would have a hard time getting her in to get an MRI done. They also can use the test results to potentially rule out other issues if she has any further problems. The pictures are of them prepping her for her MRI. Even though it looks like they put her in a vacuum pack, she wasn't smashed in there, they just wanted to make sure she would stay perfectly still so they could get a clean MRI done without having to keep her in the machine for a long time.

Right now were waiting on the MRI to be finished, and then they will have to see how she responds to the antibiotics she is taking before they will come up with a game plan for her release. It could be anywhere from a couple of days from now to a week from now. The good news is she is finally healthy and for the first time pretty much since she got here she seems happy and content. She did alot and I mean ALOT of crying and screaming for most of the night last night, and most of the morning today. In the last 2 or 3 hours though she has been very calm and is sleeping very well.

She also had her first feeding, which was pretty entertaining. She hasnt quite gotten the concept of how it works. She spilled most of it all over herself.

If you need anything (during the week) just ask for Chef Aaron.
